Established in 1963, RVCE today offers 12 Under Graduate Engineering programmes, 21 Master Degree programmes, and Doctoral Studies which at the eventual steps of formation offered just three engineering branches namely Civil, Mechanical and Electrical. 

It is affiliated with Visvesvaraya technical university, (VTU) Belgaum, Karnataka, and is one of the Best Private autonomous colleges under VTU University for Direct Admission. This institution being affiliated to VTU firm enjoys all the facilities as private institutions, and there are not more than ten Autonomous institutes under VTU in Karnataka, which have the same facilities as private universities.

RV College of Engineering is also approved by AICTE, UGC and is Ranked AAA+ by NAAC and falls under the top-ranked 33 colleges in the latest NIRF rankings.  It is spread out over a large area of 52 acres set in sylvan surroundings to create a favorable environment for interdisciplinary research and innovation which henceforth provides ideal ambiance to stimulate the teaching-learning process, helping in bringing out skilled and disciplined students.

Transportation facility for both students and staff has been provided with an adequate number of buses which aid in back and forth traveling of approximately one thousand students. An on-campus banking facility is provided by Kotak Mahindra Bank which caters to the need around 7000 students and staff. The campus also has an exclusive health Center which is open to all the students and staff.

ADMISSIONS

Students across the country and outside the borders are eligible to apply to a program at RVCE provided they appear for an appropriate entrance exam and secure a meritorious rank. Students from Karnataka are required to take up either CET or COMED-K, while students outside Karnataka need to appear for COMED-K and secure a lower rank. 

A typical cutoff CET rank is around 400 and COMED-K is around 1000 for General Merit students. However, this ranking may extend up to 2000 and 5000 respectively for OBC candidates. Computer Science Engineering and Electronics and Communication departments have cutoffs within a rank of 100 and 200 for CET and COMEDK respectively. 

Every Year RV College of Engineering invites engineering aspirants for admission in RVCE through entrance exams which are;

·        GENERAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSIONS

-         The student must have completed their Pre-University or 10 +2 examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry and Biotechnology.

-        A minimum of 45% [40% in case of candidates belonging to Reserved Category] in the above subjects taken together must be obtained.

-        Appeared for JEE (Main); JEE (Advanced); 

     Karnataka CET; COMED-K; or any other State-level Engineering Entrance Examination.

-       With Regard to M.Tech, Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Engineering [B.E/B.Tech] in the relevant field from any Indian or Foreign University, recognized by UGC, having obtained a minimum of at least 50% of marks in the aggregate [ 45% in the case of Reserved Category Candidates] is compulsory.

-       A student who needs admission for M.Tech must score a minimum of 50% [45% in the case of Reserved Category Candidates] in GATE/ PGCET entrance examinations for admission to RV College of Engineering, Bangalore.

COURSES AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

B.Arch	The Applicant must have passed 10+2 in Science from a recognized University.     The Applicant must have a valid NATA score.
B.Tech	The Applicant must have passed 10+2 in Science from a recognized University.     The Applicant must have a valid JEE/ COMEDK score.
M.Arch	The Applicant must have passed B.Arch from a recognized University.     The Applicant must have a valid GATE/ PGCET score.
M.Tech	The Applicant must have passed B.Tech with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks from a recognized University.     The Applicant must have a valid GATE/ PGCET score.
MCA	The Applicant must have passed BCA with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks from a recognized University.     The Applicant must have a valid PGCET score.

 RV College of Engineering FEES FOR B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA

-         Bachelor of Engineering [BE] is a 4 years course- Rs 3, 00,400

-         Master of Technology [M.Tech] is a 2 years- Rs 3, 80,800

-         Bachelor of Architecture [B.Arch] is a 5 years course- Rs 4, 31,500

-         Master of Computer Application [MCA] is a 3 years course- Rs 11, 46,999

ADMISSION THROUGH MANAGEMENT QUOTA

For students who are unable to fit into the normal or general admission category and do not fall under the eligibility criteria due to less ranking in CET or COMEDK, can apply for a seat through management quota by us, which is an affirmation of a seat booking for your choice of stream and course of study in the respected college.

Direct admission in RV College of Engineering through management quota will be based on;

-         10^th STD marks card, a minimum of 60% in maths and science subjects respectively.

-         12^th STD marks card, a minimum of 50% in Physics Chemistry and Maths respectively.

The fees will be as per the college brochure if the candidate is able to secure a seat in RV College through COMED-K and CET entrance exams. The only extra amount one would have to pay is the donation amount for management quota admission in RV College of Engineering, Bangalore.

RVCE also offers direct admission into Bachelors of Architecture (B.Arch), which is a five years course and the criteria for admission is based on marks secured in Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) as well as marks secured in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) entrance examination.
